Natural and archaeological landmarks abound in the region's numerous urban centers, such as the 6000 B.C. Erbil Citadel, the Sheikh Joli minarete on the western side of Erbil, and the Khanzad Citadel on the Arbil-Shaqlawa route.


It also includes the waterfalls of Gali Ali Bey, Bekhal, the Church of Mar Eth Alaha, which dates back to the year 500 AD, the Amedee Castle, and the Sulaymaniyah Museum, which includes many antiquities and archaeological sculptures dating back to ancient times.
